Rain marks Thursday’s training
The first team squad trained this Thursday evening under torrential rain at La Masia, ahead of this weekend’s home game against Atletico Madrid.
Zambrotta, Márquez and Touré Yaya, who’ve all suffered injuries this week missed the session, whilst Oleguer Presas arrived late following a traffic hold-up. Youngster Marc Crosas, who was also called up for the Levante and Stuttgart games, also joined the session.
Rain impedes ball work
Although the players were all keen to train, the heavy rain made it impossible to do too much with the ball and the session centered more on physical exercise and speed work. .
About an hour’s training
The players who figured on Tuesday night spent about an hour on the training pitch, whilst Giovani, Milito, Ezquerro, Marc Crosas and Bojan – who only played the last few minutes in Germany – stayed a little longer doing some circuit training and shooting practice with Jorquera.
