Messi form goes back till last season
Leo Messi’s astonishing stats for this season are impressive enough, but his great run of form can be traced back to his return from injury on 11th February 2007 after a three month layoff.
The Argentinean youngster, who is the league’s leading scorer this season and the second highest scorer in the Champions League, has bagged 8 goals in 6 games in all competitions so far with braces against both Zaragoza and Seville and has hit the back of the net in each of the last six games. It is not just this season that’s seen Messi triumph though, as a quick look at the stats since last February show.
15 goals in 21 games
Leo Messi came back from his three month injury layoff last February for the game at the Nou Camp against Racing Santander and has scored 15 goals in 21 games since then, including some memorable efforts such as the cracker against Getafe.
