Bolton vs Liverpool (0 - 2) Premier League 15.11.2008

28′ [0 - 1] D. Kuyt

73′ [0 - 2] S. Gerrard

Liverpool took full advantage of an early kickoff at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, winning 2-0 to go three points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Dirk Kuyt headed Liverpool in front midway through the first half from a precise Fabio Aurelio cross and Steven Gerrard wrapped up the points after the break with another header.

Liverpool could have won by more with Robbie Keane and Gerrard both missing open goals and Fernando Torres, left on the bench by manager Rafael Benitez, smashing a shot against a post.

Liverpool have 32 points from 13 matches while Chelsea, who can regain top spot with victory at West Bromwich Albion in an early evening kickoff, have 29.

Third-placed Arsenal (23 points) host Aston Villa later while fourth-placed Manchester United look to respond to their 2-1 defeat at Arsenal last week when they play Stoke City at Old Trafford.
