Bojan Krkic: A dream come true true
Bojan Krkic's first goal in the Camp Nou against Recreativo last weekend was the culmination of a dream that the youngster first revealed to Barça TV in 2001.
Six years ago, the striker talked about his dream of making his first-team debut for the club, his first start in the side and his first goal in Camp Nou, and this season has seen all those hopes and wishes finally come true.
First interview with Barça TV
In May 2001, aged ten years old, Bojan had already played for two years with Barça junior sides. He was already showing real potential under the guidance of coach Carles Romagosa and had clear ideas about his future.
"I am a centre forward and think that I am quick," he said back then. "I can dribble, have a good shot and can score goals. But there still many years to go before I reach the top, but I think if I continue like this I will be a great player, although I cannot think too much about this or talk to my teammates about it or it may not happen."
Showing again
Barça TV are set to air the interview from 2001 as part of the Promesas programme, which focusses solely on the Barça youth teams, at 20:00 on Wednesday evening. As usual, all the usual information about the up and coming players and the youth teams will be included in the programme.
