Samuel Eto'o receives Spanish nationality
Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o has completed the formalities for taking on Spanish nationality and will now be registered as an EU player.
Samuel Eto'o now has the same status as a Spanish player after completing his nationalisation process at the Civil Registry in Barcelona on Thursday.
In the next few hours, FC Barcelona will officially notify the Spanish FA and the Spanish League of the change.
Ivory Coast international Touré Yayá is now the only non EU player in the squad after the recent nationalisations of Ronaldinho, Giovani Dos Santos and, of course, Eto’o.
