Returning to normality
Oleguer’s return to first team training was the biggest news at Tuesday’s training session. He has been following an individual programme since last Wednesday. Jorquera also exercised as normal after working in isolation on Monday.
Valdés, Sylvinho, Ezquerro, Bojan were joined by the returning Oleguer and Jorquera for Tuesday morning training at Sant Joan Despí as they await the return of the internationals on Thursday.
Reserves boost numbers
Rijkaard’s squad, which includes Bojan after the youngster returned from Under 21 duty for Spain, trained once again in the company of the members of Pep Guardiola’s Barça B team. Dutch reserve player Jeffrey, however, trained in isolation after the initial warm-up stage.
Attacking superiority
One of the main exercises involved attacking moves in which the strikers outnumbered the defenders. Work began with two on one situations, which was later modified to three on two.
Once past the defenders, the players had to get a shot in on goal, with the posts defended by the goalkeepers of the first and second teams in turn.
End game
The teams were then divided into three teams for a mini seven-a-side tournament. It was played using a one goal wins and winner stays on system.
