Injured players continue to work
While the first team squad enjoy a day off after playing Rangers in the Champions League, there was still plenty of activity at Camp Nou as the injured players reported for duty to continue their recovery programmes.
Rafa Márquez, Gianluca Zambrotta and Touré Yaya took to the pitch in front of La Masia, just like they did yesterday, as they all battle back from injuries that have kept them out of action in recent weeks.
Márquez is first out
Márquez was the first to appear and he set about his warm-up exercises under the watchful eye of the coaching staff. The Mexican defender has been out of action since tearing as muscle in his leg during the Champions League game against VfB Stuttgart at the start of October and was told that he would be out of action for four weeks.
Zambrotta and Touré
Zambrotta and Touré then joined their team-mate as the Italian stretched away from the others before going through to a routine of controlling and passing the ball. He then underwent two physical circuits before concluding with some shooting practice.
Touré also worked alone, despite being on the same recovery programme as the Italian, because he endured his muscle injury three days later.
