An echography performed on Deco this morning has confirmed a myotendinous injury in the middle abductor of his left leg. He is expected to be out of action for five weeks.

He sustained the injury in the 71st minute of the game with Villarreal (3-1), when contesting a ball in the centre of the park. He was immediately substituted by Gudjohnsen.

Misses eight games

He will not be available for the next eight games, at least, five of which are in the league (Almería, Valladolid, Betis, Getafe and Recreativo) and 3 in the Champions League (the two with Rangers and one with Lyon).
