Barça’s Copa del Rey campaign gets under way on November 13 against Alcoyano in the round of 32.

It has finally been decided that FC Barcelona’s cup campaign will start against Alcoyano on November 13. The Federación Española de Fútbol has decided that this should be the date for the game between the Catalan giants and the club from Alicante. But playing the game on this date means Barça will have to make do without many of the squad, who will be away on international duty that week in other continents.

It is important to note that the following weekend has been set aside by FIFA for international matches, and many of the Barça players will therefore not be available for the cup tie.

Second leg on January 2

The second leg will not be played until several weeks later. The first game of 2008 at the Camp Nou will therefore be the match in which Barça entertain Alcoyano.
